A useful reminder tells the customer what is due and what to do next. It should not guess about a payment that is still unresolved.
Keep the logic that decides whether to send a message separate from the copy itself. These templates assume the billing system has already decided that the message is appropriate.

Writing rules
- Name the business.
- State the amount and billing period where useful.
- Give one clear next action.
- Do not say a payment failed when its status is unresolved.
- Do not ask a customer to send or type a wallet PIN outside the provider-controlled flow.
- Keep SMS concise; longer or non-GSM character messages may be split into multiple SMS segments by the messaging provider.
For suppression and scheduling logic, use the separate reminder-automation guide.
