Who we are
RoamerWave is a payments-operations software company built in Kenya for businesses managing recurring revenue across African markets. This notice covers information handled when you visit our website, contact us, book a meeting, or use our services.
Scope of this notice
This notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect and retain personal information. Merchant agreements and data-processing terms may add service-specific commitments.
Information we collect
This can include prospect and merchant-user contact, account and support details; and, where supplied by a merchant, customer names or references, mobile numbers, wallet preferences, subscription, invoice, payment-attempt, provider-reference, recovery, reconciliation and support records.
How we collect and use information
We collect information directly from you, from merchants, website and booking interactions, service providers and payment providers where needed to respond to enquiries, provide and secure services, operate billing and recovery workflows, provide support and prevent abuse.
Our role when processing merchant customer data
Where RoamerWave processes a merchant's customer information solely to provide services on that merchant's instructions, the merchant ordinarily determines the purposes and RoamerWave acts as its service provider or data processor. RoamerWave is a controller for its website enquiries, merchant contacts, sales relationships, security and account records.
Payment-provider relationships
Licensed payment providers execute payment services and control their authorization and settlement processes. RoamerWave uses provider evidence to operate the merchant's collection record and never asks customers for wallet PINs or mobile-money passwords.
Retention and security
We retain information only as necessary to provide services, resolve issues, maintain security, meet obligations and preserve payment, reconciliation, refund or dispute records. We use organizational and technical measures designed to protect information; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your privacy rights and marketing communications
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, or request a portable copy. Merchant customers should contact their merchant first. You can ask us to stop non-essential marketing communications at any time.
Google Calendar booking
Scheduling is provided through Google Calendar. Information submitted while booking is handled under this notice and Google's applicable privacy terms.
Changes, complaints and contact
We may update this notice as services, practices or obligations change. For a concern or request, email hello@roamerwave.com; you may also have the right to contact the relevant data-protection authority.
